Microbial detection system from archived materials, Study of mRNA turnover for microbial survival


“Aquiresin Xcelerator” was formulated based on the information of chemically inducement that trigger the formation of resin of the trees as defense mechanism. The diversity of microorganism found in the cultivation area of Aquilaria trees facilitates the formation of agarwood. However, delay and ineffective formation is challenge in order to obtain the non-timber valuable product of Aquilaria.

Agarwood is a resinous wood substance that is produced by the tree as a non-specific host response to stresses either from wounding, insects or microbial invasion.  Traditionally, hammering nail and knife-wounding are the common method used to induce the production of agarwood. In addition, Agar-Wit technique is known to give adequate results after 18 months inoculation.
