eALERT: An Intelligent Traffic Incident Notification and Management System for Fast Emergency Response

A system called as eALERT: An Intelligent Traffic Incident Notification and Management System for Fast Emergency Response is proposed in this work with the aim to provide an accurate and reliable alert information that could help fast arrival of rescue team thus significantly improves the survival rate of motorists on road. It will operates as an intelligent system that automatically detect an incident, alert and notifies to the rescue teams such as Ambulance, Police, Fire and Rescue, Towing and also Traffic Information Media.

 

The geographical coordinates of accident spot will be captured via Global Positioning System (GPS) and will be sent together with alert notification. This is to ease the rescue team to reach the incident spot as quick as possible and to provide necessary aid to victim. The fast arrival of rescue team at incident spot also could help to clear and ensure a smooth flow of traffic especially during peak hour. eALERT system helps to keeps injuries from become life-threatening.

 INVENTIVENESS

  • An intelligent system provides accurate and reliable alert information that could help fast arrival of rescue team thus significantly improves the survival rate of motorists on road.
  • Automated system that detects an incident of severe accident and send the alert information to Immediate Family Members, Emergency Rescue Teams (ERT) such as Ambulance, Police, Fire Rescue Team and Towing Services
  • The geographical coordinates of accident spot will be captured via Global Positioning System (GPS) and will be sent together with alert notification. This is to ease the rescue team to reach the incident spot as quick as possible and to provide necessary aid to victim within “Golden Hour”.
  • The fast arrival of rescue team such as police at incident spot also could helps to save the life of accident victim and to clear and ensure a smooth flow of traffic especially during peak hour.
  • The system also be able to send an alert to Radio Stations for live update on road incidents so that the road users could avoid all the congestions and traffic jams.
